NCIA: The Racial Disparity Currently Facing Cannabis

With many states creating legislation to legalize cannabis, the conversation surrounding these new laws becomes more nuanced. Topics like safe banking, expungement, retroactive amnesty, and the racial inequality that is present in the cannabis business sphere are quickly shifting into the top priorities facing the industry.
Executive Producer Shawna Vercher interviewed Morgan Fox, a spokesperson for the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA). NCIA is a non profit trade association concentrating on advancing the interest of a responsible cannabis industry. Morgan and Shawna took a deep dive into how conversations around cannabis legislation have changed tone to include the importance of civil rights and racial equality at the base level.
